The ESII Experience

Specifically designed to help you identify and measure the benefits produced by nature on your land.

Local DataUnlike other tools, ESII uses site data that you collect using the ESII Field App.

Versatile set of outputs
Outputs are available in a variety of units of measure, which provide different ways of understanding the natural benefits, or ecosystem services, being measured at a given location.

These units of measure, and the associated “heat mapping” produced during the analysis process, allow you to understand the tradeoffs associated with proposed activities (e.g. compare the impacts associated with grey and green infrastructure solutions).

Mobile-based field data collection
Download a base map for your site and create spatially explicit data using the ESII Field App.

Designed to track uncertainty
From varying levels of user experience to the complexity of modeling dynamic, multi-disciplinary interactions within an ecosystem, the ESII Tool is designed to track and report different sources of uncertainty that arise during the measurement of benefits produced by a natural area.
